Jogging pants can be combined in many ways. It mainly depends on the situation and above all your mental status in which way you wear the sweatpants.

What looks nice on sweatpants?

To determine what looks nice on sweatpants, first look at the basics. Do your pants fit well and don't fall around your legs like a tent? The important thing is not what you wear, but how you wear it. The important thing is that you know how to wear your clothes and look good doing it. At TALL TAILORS we have slim fit sweatpants with tight ankle straps. This makes you look groomed with the sweatpants on. And jogging pants with straight legs can fall a little wider.

Combining sweatpants with a Blouse and blazer

Combining your sweatpants with a blouse and a blazer or jacket is an excellent choice for your business meetings from home. Since the outbreak of the corona virus in the early 2020s, team meetings have become an integral part of your work schedule and working from home has become part of "life after corona. Of course, you still just want to look good to your clients and colleagues. At the bottom a comfortable pair of long jogging pants with a shirt and/or a jacket on top, the ideal home office outfit!

Combining sweatpants with t-shirt

Pairing sweatpants with a white t-shirt is, of course, the classic combination. Ideal for a night on the couch with your favorite series. Still a little too cold? Then make an environmentally conscious choice and put on a nice hoodie instead of turning up the heating a few degrees. At the gym, of course, it is also ideal to wear sweatpants with a shirt or hoodie. Of course, only during your warm-up, because leg-day in your sweatpants is obviously not a workout.

Combining sweatpants with sweater or hoodie

A pair of sweatpants with a nice sweater. Ideal as a home suit. Who doesn't have one? For most occasions, jogging pants combined with a sweater or hoodie is surely the most obvious combination. You choose this set when you go for a leisurely run on a chilly evening, for example. This is also the ideal choice when you are traveling, nice and comfortable in your sweatpants with a good sweater on top, finished off with neat sneakers. Wonderfully relaxed while traveling.

Combining sweatpants with a jacket

Do you have a pair of sweatpants that fits you well? Does it fit nicely around your legs and doesn't lump around the knees and most importantly, is it long enough? Then you can also wear the sweatpants casually. However, this is easier with jogging pants with tight ankle straps. If you do choose sweatpants with straight legs, make sure they are slim-fit so that you look well-groomed. A stylish combination here is to wear a jacket. You can think of a baseball jacket or a neat bomber jacket, for example. As an option, you can also opt for a hoodie with a body warmer, definitely less warm and fashionable.

In contrast, we do not recommend a leather jacket or a denim jacket.

Combining sweatpants with shoes

Another advantage of sweatpants with tight ankle straps is that your shoes are "free. Your pants don't hang over them, which makes your shoes stand out extra. Therefore, make sure you make a good conscious choice here too and don't opt for your worn-out sneakers. Just use these for a game of soccer with the youngsters. For footwear under sweatpants, there are three options as far as we are concerned:

White sneakers

These days, the white sneaker is a staple of everyone's wardrobe. These shoes look good under basically any outfit, from business suit to house suit. Under beautiful dark sweatpants with tight ankle straps, white sneakers come into their own. Keep in mind the season and the type of shoe, though. You have white sneakers made of canvas (Converse), which you prefer to wear when the weather is nice. You also have white shoes made of leather (think Nike, Adidas or Veja) that you can wear even better on rainy days.

Colored sneakers

Like the white sneaker, wearing a nice colored sneaker under sweatpants with tight ankle straps makes you look groomed. It all depends on the rest of your outfit which shoes you choose, but with a solid color such as black, olive green or light blue, you'll soon be fine. Sneakers with a motley collection of colors are of course also possible. Here goes: make sure you have at most one item in your outfit that really stands out, in this case your shoes.

Slippers

Of course, the slipper cannot be missing from this list. Do you prefer to wear your sweatpants as a house suit? Then choose a nice comfortable slipper to go with it. In the current times with the current climate discussions, of course everyone is trying to turn down the heating. When walking through the house it is nice to have something on your feet. If you choose those classic Adidas slippers or Crocs your feet will stay nice and warm (in combination with socks, of course). Also nice and easy to get in and out of when you lie flat on the couch Netflixing.
